CLASS #1: SUBFLOOR/SUBSTRATE & MOISTURE TESTING (June 12 & 13, 2023)
Description:
An introduction to subfloor/substrate requirements related to floor covering installations and inspections including type, flatness, acceptability, moisture content and surface contaminants.
This class will cover ASTM F710, ASTM F1869, ASTM F2170, and ASTM F2659. This course also covers moisture testing requirements and provides a hands-on competency assessment of how to perform subfloor moisture testing. This class includes applicable ANSI moisture testing standards (Approx. $280+ Value).
Course Duration: 2 days

Prerequisites: Minimum of 1 year in the flooring/restoration business
CLASS #2: LVT/LVP & RESIDENTIAL RESILIENT FLOORING INSPECTOR COURSE (June 14 & 15, 2023)
This is an in-depth two-day course that will train future inspectors to become professionally qualified to inspect LVT/LVP (Solid Vinyl, WPC, SPC, mineral core, etc.) resilient floors. This course also offers a basic understanding of residential sheet vinyl inspection techniques.
Upon completion of this course, the inspector will have gained the knowledge and skills needed to appropriately gather the information required to not only determine the cause of most resilient flooring failures, but to also support their conclusion in a written report.
This course provides hands-on training from highly qualified instructors and will cover product understanding, installation methods, proper moisture testing, substrate preparation, maintenance, identification of common issues, inspection tools, and report writing.
Course Duration: 2 days + 2 virtual classes (Subfloor/Substrate, waived when attending Class #1 + Report Writing)

CLASS #3: LAMINATE FLOORING INSPECTOR COURSE (June 16, 2023)
This is a one-day course that will train future inspectors to become professionally qualified to inspect laminate floors.
Upon completion of this course, the inspector will have gained the knowledge and the skills needed to appropriately gather the information required to not only determine the cause of most laminate flooring failures, but to also support their conclusion in a written report.
This course provides hands-on training from highly qualified instructors and will cover product understanding (including the various locking systems), installation methods, proper moisture testing, substrate preparation, identification of common issues, inspection tools, and report writing. This class will also review noise and water warranties.
Course Duration: 1 day + 2 virtual classes (Subfloor/Substrate, waived when attending Class #1 + Report Writing)

Note: Students who successfully complete their Laminate Flooring Inspector Certification Couse are also eligible to receive a North American Laminate Floor Association (NALFA) Inspector Designation.
This additional certification/credential is available through NALFA for an additional “discounted” fee. *Note: NALFA may have other prerequisites for its certification.
NALFA also recognizes Inspector Training Services’ (ITS) Laminate Flooring Inspector’s Course as a valid continuing education program for those who must attain CEC’s to maintain their existing NALFA Certification
